Intumescent Firehood

Intumescent firehoods for our recessed emergency lights.

Why are they used?
Ceilings in commercial buildings are subject to fire regulations and as a result, often the ceiling needs to be fire-rated according to how many hours it can withstand fire. When a hole is cut in the ceiling for a light fitting, the integrity of the ceiling and its ability to perform in a fire can be significantly reduced. A firehood restores the ceiling’s original fire rating.
When used with a Ringtail fitting the hood will provide maximum protection, and has been developed for ease of installation.
